The Water & Environmental Technical Group (WETG) Presents:

Stormwater Management
Best Management Practices Inventory and Maintenance

NJDOT’s vast roadway network contains numerous basins, other best management practices (BMPs), and outfalls. An extensive GPS mapping program was performed to locate the stormwater management BMPs. The system was mapped and logged into a Geographical Information System (GIS). The mapping and inspections were used to determine appropriate maintenance actions to ensure the BMPs are functioning as designed and the NJDOT remains in compliance with its various environmental permits.
