Engineer I – Bridges
Position directs both in-house staff and administers and reviews work of contractors in the essential tasks of bridge construction including inspection, contract administration, public complaint resolution, environmental requirements, etc. Performs integrity inspections, coordinates emergency bridge repairs, and coordinates and manages utility relocations in order to maintain a reliable and safe infrastructure in conformance with Federal and State standards. This position inspects existing bridges to assess their physical condition, verify their safety, and recommends emergency repairs when serious defects are found. Position reports to the Principal Bridge Engineer I.
